For over 10 years Shavon Meyers (she/her) has produced original content such as photography, short films, video and audio production pieces, podcasts, poetry, short stories and creative writing pieces. Clients worked with and commissioned by include The NAACP, Sirius XM Satellite Radio (Shade 45, Martha Stewart Living Radio, Court TV Radio, Hits 1, 70’s on 7, 80’s on 8) The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and WBAI Radio. Her short films Sunday School, Look Up and Corazon have been granted official selection status at various film festivals including the Outflix Memphis TN Film Festival, Hoboken International Film Festival, New Filmmakers New York Film Festival and The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival. Shavon’s work has been featured on websites such as Shadowandact.com, Bloomberg.com, NY1.com and Gothamist.com. Additionally, she has been a featured guest on Sirius XM’s OutQ Radio, Bondfire Radio and WBAI Radio. Shavon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Photography with a minor in Creative Writing and is currently drawn to documenting human experiences with an emphasis on amplifying the stories of marginalized people.

In June 2020, Shavon created Reflections in Black on reflectionsinblack.com in response to the murders of Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and George Floyd by police officers. The site is a safe space for resources and creativity related to the Black experience.
